What's the weather like in Cape Town?
Being at the end tip of the African continent, with hot air coming from the inland Karoo mixing with the cold air coming from the ocean, the weather is unpredictable, and very wind.
The Capetonians like to say that "we have the four seasons in one day". Once you've understood this, you know that the jersey is never too far from the t-shirt and vice versa.
How safe is Cape Town?
Cape Town is one of the safest cities in SA as its local government is providing decent law enforcement. One can visit and go out at night in the city bowl.
One must be aware, respect some basic security principles and mustn't be unnecessarily adventurous. But we are here to guide and provide you with our advice. Don't hesitate to ask us.
How long one should stay in Cape Town?
If this is your first visit, we recommend a minimum of 4 nights. Not only would this allow you to visit most emblematic sites, but that would also qualify you for our Long Stay Special offering you nothing less than 30% discount (T's & C's apply).
Since we're very conveniently positioned, stay with us, instead of hoping from place to place, needing to pack & unpack your luggage several time. Relax and enjoy, you're on holiday after all 😉.
What are the main touristic sites to visit?
From the most emblematic to off the beaten tracks, Cape Town has so much to offer.
The most emblematic are undeniably:
- Table Mountain with an easy access, thanks to its cable car,
- Cape Point National Park together with the Cape of Good Hope, a full day tour going all round the Cape Peninsula, going past Boulders Beach and its penguin colony,
- Kirstenbosch botanical garden, an absolute delight of lush garden and peaceful setting,
- the buoyant renowned V&A Waterfront offering endless shopping & dining options, as well as the very interesting MOCAA, the Museum of Contemporary African Art,
- the city bowl with its colourful Bo-Kap Malay quarter,
- the "next door" wineries, with Constantia winelands, and beyond with Stellenbosch & Franschhoek just to name the most famous,
- Hermanus buzzing during the whale season (Jun-Oct),
But there are also many others off the beaten track's options. Ask us! 😉

How much tips should we leave?
This is always appreciated by the staff, both the ones you see and the ones you don't.
Any amount is most welcome. It all depends on your level of appreciation and the length of your stay. You may drop it with us at check out, and it will go into the common jar and distributed on ad-hoc basis.
On behalf of the staff, we thank you.
What kind of transport should I opt for?
Well, there are couple of options and depending on your preference, they both have their advantages and disadvantages.
Renting a car will offer you some independence, yet you'd have to accustom yourself to drive on the left-hand side and to the local traffic specificities. In peak season, you'll probably have more difficulty to find a parking.
Uber is another option. It's cheap, safe and available all over. Even though they would most certainly take you for a longer drive in case you intend to make use of their services for half day or even full day tour, I would recommend making use of a qualified tour operator or a tour guide. It's more expensive but worth every penny considering that you'd benefit from their knowledge. It's the safest way of visiting as they all know where to go and more importantly which area to avoid.
Do you provide parking?
Yes, we have a 4-bay parking working on a first-come, first-serve basis.
In the unlikely event that there's no space left, you may park safely alongside the pavement in Christow Road. Just don't leave any belongings in sight.
